That's definitely the hole that the oil escaped through! The ears to the left and right hold the steering rack and that has witness marks that match the hole in the pan. In search of a new S52 oil pan and M3 front subframe....

Here's the rock that took us out on Stage 12. It doesn't look like much, but at 77 MPH, it did some damage. I saw the rock- you can see me thinking about avoiding it, but there wasn't time. or space to avoid. Olympus Rally

This rally fan bit my ear at parc expose on Saturday!

Day 2 update: The car is working great! Eric and I were able to set competitive times in our class and avoid the ample carnage. After some attrition, we are sitting 3rd in class! The top two guys are really flying this weekend. 7 more stages today so anything can happen. Olympus Rally

The stars of this Olympus Rally continue to be our service crew. Before the rally I replaced some parts preventively and the new fuel pump was bad. Lost tons of time on the first two stages. Then a long technical night stage where older eyeballs don't work as well. Lots of rally left though. Eric Frentress is doing an awesome job as navigator!

This service crew rocks! I think the car is fixed. We'll see soon enough.
