We would like to welcome Coach Fletcher and Coach Dougherty to our staff for this upcoming season. Coach Fletcher will be coaching JV and Coach Dougherty will be coaching middle school.

They are enthusiastic and excited to get to work!

Last night didn’t go as we wanted…life doesn’t give us a do over unfortunately.

We saw great improvement from our Lady Eagles as the season went on and as always, they upheld the legacy of so many before them, they played hard and were tough girls this season.

To our seniors Big Lex and Jay: we love you. We are so proud of you and the way you’ve represented the Lady Eagles. We’ve watched you grow as basketball players and as people while you’ve been in high school and it’s been amazing. As Coach said last night, don’t EVER let anyone tell you, you can’t do something. Set goals, work hard, achieve them - you deserve success and good things in this life.

Lexi Shupe led our team in prayer after the game and the Lord gave her the words we needed!

Multiple Players Team Up To Lead Lady Eagles Past Thomas Walker

Lexie Holland and Jalyn Rogers teamed up to lead Lady Eagles past Thomas Walker, 43-32, on Saturday. Rogers scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Holland scored 22 points.

Trailing 10-6, Lady Eagles went on an 8-point run to take the lead. Lady Eagles had a strong first half, leading 23-16 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.

Rogers led the team with 12 rebounds. Holland hit seven threes for Lady Eagles. Lady Eagles passed the ball well with 10 assists on 15 made baskets. Lexi Shupe led the team with eight assists. Lady Eagles stood tall, blocking five shots in the game. Additional scorers for Lady Eagles included Rogers (11 points), Shupe (5 points), and Hallie Berry (5 points).

One of the best shooters in SWVA! Lexie can fill it up when she gets hot! So it’s no surprise she BALLED OUT in last nights victory over the Castlewood Lady Blue Devils!

Those Lady War Eagles are starting to play some good ball 👀

Getting production from some key role players that is allowing shooters like Holland to draw less attention, that’s gonna be key come tournament time! Congrats Lexie, keep hoopin’!

Lady Eagles with the win vs Castlewood on Senior Night 63-30.

Our senior duo was shinning bright. Lexie Holland had 26 points and 6 rebounds. Jalynn Rogers had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 steals. Sophomore Lexi Shupe had 18 points, 8 assists, 3 steals.

We are super proud of our Lady Eagles and had a great Night recognizing our seniors!

A MONSTER night for Rye Cove’s Jalyn Rogers. One of the best athletes in the state of Virginia, she owned the glass tonight collecting 20 rebounds in the Lady Eagles 48-23 win over J.I. Burton! She also scored 12 points to go along with her monster performance on the boards. Definitely balled out for Coach Adam Hoods Lady Eagles tonight!
