9 year old Safari-Ari and 19 month old Pelee had a very successful DockDogs World Championships.

Ari finished in the exact middle of the pack of veteran dogs with some 17 and 18 foot jumps. I think we could have got better scores but I messed up all her throws, she was testing out her new knees, and it was only her second competition back so I think that's a great showing for her! Best of all she seems physically fine and no worse for wear from competing.

Pelee had a 10'2 and a time out day one and an 8 foot and a time out day 2. She's still hesitating but Worlds was a lot for her puppy brain. It took me until finals to figure out what she needed that is different from what I'm so used to with Ari. I tweaked my routine and got 2 jumps for finals! 9'8" had her take 4th place Novice!! She has such potential and this was an awesome end to her rookie year!

10 weeks post-op tomorrow. Week 8 was rough with muscle soreness but she's back on track to recovery again. X-ray is from 8 weeks post op and means nothing to me but the experts say the bone is still healing but looks good. I'm happy to see the muscle definition in this picture. We're working on that fur re-growth! 🤣. Thank you to Ashley St John and Essex Animal Hospital for helping us through and always indulging my crazy. Still a long road ahead but we're traveling there together Ari.
p.s. - Pelee is looking for some sympathy for her little nose. She didn't like waiting in the crate at Ari's last rehab appointment and threw a fit it seems.

• What’s your favorite human food? Any meat or butter....mmm, love butter
• What are you scared of? Lots of things but I act tough and bark at them
• Favourite toy/thing to play? Frisbee is life
• Favourite things to do? Chase a frisbee, chase a lure, chase a squirrel (only if he's in MY yard), dock dive, barn hunt
