STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Springer's Martial Arts Academy, a "family oriented" school, was founded on four basic principles: Tradition, Respect, Leadership and Professionalism. The preservation of martial arts heritage and the positive character development of its students through training rooted in the mind, body, and spirit philosophy. Respect: To promote a value system based on a mutual respect be
tween student and Instructor, between students, and between different martial arts styles and schools. We also expect the students to live these principles of respect at home, at work, and out in society. Leadership: To set high standards of technique and values and become an example for others to follow. Professionalism: To maintain a staff of highly skilled, knowledgeable Instructors working together to deliver high quality instruction reinforcing the tenets of the martial arts. To maintain a modern training facility that is conducive to the needs of the martial arts student. These guidelines were created, not only to maintain true martial arts tradition, but also to promote Springer's Martial Arts Academy as a cohesive group. Without high standards of conduct and discipline then disorder, chaos, disrespect and injuries would engulf the class making safe training and goal achievement impossible. Parents are welcome to stay and watch their child in class. Parents take an active role in assisting their child at home in studying their student handbook. Adults can adopt an exercise program that improves their physical fitness as well as learning effective self-defense techniques. Instructors teach martial arts safely, while maintaining a proud tradition and an enjoyable learning experience for our students. It is our hope that each student becomes a productive part of society. By providing strong interactive leadership, we set the example. We try to help each student become at peace with oneself. With that achieved, the student can learn to be at peace with others. We recognize the history and legacy our Instructors have given us, and accept the responsibility to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of martial artists. Please see top of this page for current class schedule.
