Wow! What an incredible 17th Togwotee Winter Classic!

Trail conditions were good considering the weather that moved in making for some epic winter conditions out there, as the Wind River Range typically delivers!

Moonlight Ride/Ski and Campfire Gathering!

For those nearby or staying at Lava Mountain Lodge , we are gathering for a night ride and campfire at the Deception Creek Winter Trailhead Friday evening, March 6th at 7 pm.

Bring snacks, lights, warm beverages and your friends!
No registration required, just show up!

This is a great opportunity for a little shakedown ride on before the Togwotee Winter Classic the next morning.

Bring your family and/or friends! Skis and snowshoes are great too.

Everyone is welcome!

❄️ Deception / Falls Creek is an amazing non-motorized, winter-only trail system groomed and maintained by DART.

🔥 We'll gather around a small fire on the ski trail afterwards (visible from the turnout).

‼️IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE & DEVELOPMENT‼️

We've got some great news and exciting updates for the Togwotee Winter Classic for 2026 including a new start/finish location & event specials!

👉🏻 Lava Mountain’s CD Trail Bar & Grill has graciously offered lodging & meal specials for all TWC participants! 🙌🏻

🏁 NEW START/FINISH: Lava Mountain Lodge

☕ BREAKFAST SPECIAL for Saturday Morning, March 7th:
$7 Breakfast burrito with coffee/juice available for all participants (please RSVP).

📩 If you have already signed up for the event and would like to RSVP for the Breakfast Special, please return to the event registration site: twc.athlete360.com and add "Breakfast Special" to your registration.

💲 Each participant is personally responsible to cover ALL FOOD & LODGING costs – paid directly to Lava Mountain Lodge at the time of reservation or purchase.

🏠 LODGING & BREAKFAST SPECIAL for Friday Night, March 6th:
The lodging and breakfast combo is $200. Rooms sleep 4 (2 queen beds) $50/person for a bed & breakfast).

📞 You must reserve ahead of time and mention you are with the Togwotee Winter Classic group to receive this deal.

🙏🏻We are greatly appreciative of Lava Mountain Lodge and the CD Trail Bar & Grill for their generosity, offerings, and accommodations!

🗺️ UPDATED COURSES: Ride with GPS route files have been updated to reflect this new start & finish location. Please make sure you have the updated version downloaded.

🅿️ OVERFLOW PARKING: This change can impact the amount of parking at the lodge - please review alternative parking locations (if necessary) on the Athlete360 Registration Page.

This is a MUCH more enjoyable finish, with a chill roll back to the lodge instead of a 2-mile climb along the highway. 🤙🏻❄️

It’s a beautiful brisk day out here at deception Creek and Falls Campground ski trails. Deception is groomed this morning and falls will be groomed this afternoon. A little dusting of snow has made a huge improvement in our trails. Also our track, etc. is finally fixed so we have a two track set down. Come and enjoy.

Pssst... Hey, we know it's been a minute. But TWC is back for March 2026! Still working on setting the exact date (usually the 1st or 2nd Saturday of March) -- so block out both! ;-)

Route: stays the same as the "new" route established in 2020.
