My daughter and I had an absolute blast on our trail ride with Joe! The entire experience with Said Creek Outfitters was top-notch, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Joe was fantastic with my daughter, patiently teaching her all about trail riding. She loved it so much she was already asking when we could come back before we even left. Thank you, Joe, for making it so special!

Get to know our horses weekly:

Meet Butterscotch, our oldest horse on the ranch and one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. At 35 years old, Butters is still out here proving that age is just a number.

He’s Aena’s favorite, and honestly, we get it. Butterscotch is gentle, steady, and full of personality. He works one easy ride a week to keep himself moving and is the perfect horse for beginners learning the ropes. Slow, patient, and dependable, he knows exactly how to make new riders feel comfortable in the saddle.

When he is not busy traipsing the trails, he can be found free range grazing and sunning himself just east of the lodge. Sometimes flying solo. Sometimes mingling in with the elk and mule deer. They are 100% used to it.

He may be the senior guy on the ranch, but Butter still has plenty of heart, plenty of charm, and plenty of fans.

We adopted these mustangs last year. They are all over 4. In the beginning a kitten was a true horror much less a small child on a strider bike. Training is hard but someone has to do it!
