As some of you may know, Sarah Zwick was one of my close friends. We started our businesses at the same time, and we often leaned on each other for support and encouragement. I can’t tell you how many times I texted her asking for her advice or her opinion; how many times she sponsored an event at my shop and did everything she could to support our small business community. She was one of the most giving people I know and I miss her every day.

Today would have been her 28th birthday.

In honor of my friend Sarah, we wanted to do a fundraiser for one of her favorite organizations in town: First Class Children's Foundation

From now until December 15th, we will be selling Red Velvet Cookies at our shop. $1 from each cookie sold will go to FCCF, a nonprofit that supports children in our community with a special focus on literacy via their book vending machines. Sarah was a HUGE reader and could often be found at one of her favorite small businesses, Junk Dealer's Daughter, reading quietly in the back.

We are working to schedule a September 16th rabies clinic. There will likely be a small price increase but we hope to still be the lowest cost option in the area. Save the date.
