As the East Region representative heads to Taylor, MI, we’re reminded that sometimes you work for months behind the scenes, pouring your heart into something and hoping that the players, families, coaches, and communities who come through your town feel just how special it is. Then you read words like those shared by a mom from the Freehold Township, NJ team, and you realize that every late night, phone call, detail, volunteer hour, and moment of exhaustion was worth it.
To the New Jersey families who took the time to share such incredibly kind words about their experience in DuBois; THANK YOU. From the bottom of our hearts. We may have been the ones hosting the tournament, but you reminded us that you were just as much a part of what made it special. Hearing that your boys felt like they were playing in the big leagues, that the little details mattered, that our social media coverage made them feel celebrated, and that the friendships and kindness they experienced will stay with them for years to come means more than you know.
And Rhonda, we couldn’t be more proud that you became part of their tournament family. That is exactly what we hoped our host families would do: open their hearts, welcome these players and families as their own, and make DuBois feel like home.
To our tournament staff, host families, sponsors, umpires, grounds crew, the Bloom family, and every single person who played a role in the 2026 Junior League East Region Tournament — this is your reminder that what you did mattered.
And to every team and family who traveled to DuBois: thank you for trusting us with a small piece of your All-Star journey. We hope you left with more than memories of baseball. We hope you left with friendships, stories, and a little piece of DuBois in your heart. You came to DuBois as baseball teams from different states. You left as part of our tournament family.
“It was the best baseball tournament I have ever experienced.”
We don’t know if we’ll ever be able to top that, but we’ll sure spend the next year trying.
Thank you, New Jersey. Thank you for believing in DuBois. And thank you for reminding us why we do what we do.
