We are proud to announce Wyatt Wehr as the 2026–2027 Grant County Braves Bass Fishing Team Captain!
Wyatt has been with our program from the very beginning, and over the years I have watched him grow into an outstanding young man and a true leader.
Wyatt represents what the Grant County Braves Bass Team is all about. He shows sportsmanship toward anglers from every school, leads by example, and is always willing to help someone who needs it.
I have personally watched Wyatt give his own fishing equipment and property to new students just to help them get started. He doesn't do it for recognition—he does it because that's the kind of young man he is.
Being a team captain isn't just about catching fish. It's about leadership, character, sportsmanship, and putting your teammates first. Wyatt has earned the respect of his teammates and coaches by doing exactly that.
We couldn't be prouder to have Wyatt Wehr leading the Grant County Braves Bass Team for the 2026–2027 season.

How old does my student need to be on the Grant County Braves Bass team. Khsaa teams are 7 to 12. Jr division teams are zero to 8th grade. We have something for everyone.

If you are already on the team its that time of year again. Make sure all physicals are up to date and your student is ready to go.

Today was a first for the Grant County Braves Bass team! Congratulations Hunter Lilly on the midway university 2026 bass fishing student athlete of the year!.

Saf team trail results for the year. 2 to 21 for Grant County.

Very proud of this team. High school worlds and nationals are on lake Cumberland this year. This is the only year that this tournament has been In Kentucky. Could be the only year it will ever be in Kentucky. Usually we have to travel a long ways for the TBF high school worlds/ nationals

As the school year comes to an end, we are excited to see what the 2026–2027 school year will bring to the bass fishing program.

We would like to congratulate our two graduating seniors, Brian Hamm and Hunter Lilly. Both of these outstanding anglers have been part of the program since the very beginning. Their dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to the Grant County Braves Bass team have helped build this program into what it is today. We are proud of everything they have accomplished and wish them the very best in their future both on and off the water.
