Hardin County Tennessee Cross Country and Track and Field Teams

The HCHS Cross Country Team traveled to David Crockett State Park for a beautiful run through one of our state parks. There were 214 entries for the boys. Jagger Donoho finished 48th with at time of 20:58, Jonah Wilson finished 56th with a time of 21:20, Chayse Williams 95th with a time of 23:06, Evan Killough 101st with at time of 23:17, Cole Flug 114th with a time of 24:02, Colson Shoemaker 131st with a time of 24:36, Kaleb Devillier 134th with a time of 25:03, and Jaxon Shearer 135th with a time of 25:18. On the girls side, there were 163 entries. Allisson Catalan finished 24th with a time of 23:28, Natalie Seaton finished 82nd with a time of 27:56, Catelyn Spencer finished 91st with a time of 29:12, Michelle Olivas finished 102nd with a time of 32:08, and Avery Sledge finished 108th with a time of 33:21. The next meet will be at USJ on September 10th.

The HCHS Cross Country Team competed in the run hosted by Dresden HS today. It was a hot one and we are proud of all the runners for pushing through and competing. Congratulations to Allisson Catalan who finished 18th of 88 in the girls run! Next meet is August 29th at David Crockett State Park in Lawrenceburg.

A great way to close out the season yesterday at the TSSAA Division I Class AA West Sectional Meet. Proud of the effort, growth, and dedication our track team showed all year long.

Results from yesterday:
• Lauren Carpenter placed 4th in the 3200m and 7th in the 1600m
• Landon Browder finished 5th in the 200m Dash
• Isaiah Bingham placed 6th in the 110m Hurdles and earned a 3rd-place medal 🥉 in the 300m Hurdles

The Tigers and lady tigers who qualified for sectionals competed at the USJ West TN rural championship yesterday. It was a tough day of competition but everyone did well. Seniors Jasmine Storms and Lauren Carpenter finished in the top three of their events. With Jasmine taking third in Shot Put and Lauren taking third in the 3200. The next event for the tigers will be Track Sectionals, May 4 and 6th.

The Tigers wrapped up their regular season last week—but they’re not finished yet.

We’re proud to announce the following athletes have qualified for the TSSAA Track and Field Class AA West Sectionals:

• Kayleigh Bomar – 100m Dash
• Lauren Carpenter – 1600m Run, 3200m Run
• Sloan Calton – 300m Hurdles
• Jasmine Storms – Shot Put
• Landon Browder – 100m Dash, 200m Dash, 110m Hurdles
• Isaiah Bingham – 110m Hurdles, 300m Hurdles
• Aiden Fowler – Long Jump, 110m Hurdles
• Jayden Smith – Discus
• Josiah Thomas – Discus

These events will be held on May 4-6 at Lakeland Preparatory High School. 🐅

The tigers and lady tigers competed at USJ yesterday for the final regular season meet of the season. Those who finished in the top three of their event included: Isaiah Bingham who came in 🥈 2nd in the 110 Hurdles, and Lauren Carpenter who came in 🥈 2nd in the 3200.
Those who have qualified for sectionals will compete at the West TN Rural Championship next Thursday.
