Back 40 Smelt Camps

Back 40 Smelt Camps Smelt camp rentals on the Eastern River in Dresden, Maine. Propane Mr. Heaters in the two man camps.

* Carry in, carry out. to 9 P.M.

* We are a family oriented business.

* We fish the outgoing tides.

* We have wood heat in the four man camps. Please keep all trash, cigarette butts, and bottles off the ice and in a bag. There is a dumpster at the end of the driveway.

*There is one gallont fish limit per person

* Fishing is fun for all ages. *

*Children under 8 are free.

*Children under 12 are free in Sundays.

en must be accompanied at all times.

* Only use the designated walking path. DO NOT try to take short cuts across the pressure ridge on the ice!!

* This is fishing. We cannot guarantee how many fish you will catch. We will inform you of how deep they are running and give tips on how to set your lines to improve your chances of catching fish.

We aren't putting out any camps this season. Maybe next year will be better.

Conditions are not ideal to place smelt camps on the ice to date. Our location on the river has a strong current. The channel is still open, and the shore ice is not safe.
