I teach infants to roll over and breathe to save themselves in just weeks. Hello, my name is Dena Bailey. I’m the Proud owner of Dena’s Dolphins Infant Aquatics LLC. I grew up in Mesa Az and was around water constantly. We had a boat when I was growing up and I learned to water ski at a very young age. I feel at home in the water. I love to kayak, scuba dive, and boogie board in the ocean waves. I
’m a mom to 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I have a child that is Deaf so I know sign language and can teach Deaf children. I currently live in Draper UT. I was certified as a lifeguard and water safety instructor in college. Every summer I taught at a public pool in Mesa Arizona. This is where my passion and love of teaching first began. After I married I taught in my backyard pool. Teaching swimming has been a passion of mine for over 20 years, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see a child's transformation from fear to confidence in the water. I love teaching all ages from beginning swimmers, to stroke correction, and even adults who want to learn to swim, or those seeking stroke correction. I’ve always had a desire to teach infants. This is a whole new skill set. So I started searching the internet for schools who taught these skills. That's when I came across Infant Aquatics with Judy Heumann. I took the leap and happily enrolled in the course in Longmont Colorado. After completing the course I’ve logged in 100 hours of hands-on training from children 6 months and up. The course also included physiology, psychology, and development of a child between 6 mo to 6 years as they apply to swimming and water survival. I’ve learned children can learn survival skills in weeks, not years. My goal is for parents and their children to understand survival skills can be taught within weeks not years. That they don’t have to wait to enroll their child in lessons. Let's get them started at 6 months! You’ll be amazed, after the proper training, what your child can do to save themselves.
