1 YEAR π!!! Exactly 1 year ago I moved to LA. I sold my things, packed a uhaul and drove with my mom to LA with a little savings and no job. It has been a crazy journey with a roller coaster of emotions and learning.
β
I had a thought over the past weekend about βgrowing painsβ. Iβve learned and gown more in this past year than probably since college. Even when moving in a positive direction growth is still painful. We are learning and navigating so much in βlifeβ. Hurdles and challenges that I have been learning about
β
Moving to the second largest city in America and fighting to know your worth and belief in yourself. It's a constant struggle to not lose yourself in the comparison of others and the facades we all put on.
β
Starting my own business(s) with ZERO experience and no business degree to speak of. As all entrepreneurs know, the stress and anxiety you feel is a struggle morning, noon and night from the moment you wake up to the moment you finally close your eyes at night.
β
Coming out later in life and navigating the realm of queerty in the real world outside of the conservative βUtahβ bubble. Itβs definitely a challenge to stay true to who you are and not get lost in the βexpectationβ of gay culture.
β
Growth is constant and we just need to make sure weβre headed in the right direction. Time and patience are key. Steady, compounding actions daily will take us in the right direction. The universe has our back and wants to bless us and see us succeed. So cheers to ONE YEAR and many more in La La Land!
