BIG NEWS!!
2020 racing season is a go!
Our first race will be August 22nd at Brian Head Resort, with cross country and downhill categories.
Precautions will be taken to limit exposure of COVID 19 at the races.
DM to get more info on how to race with us, and don’t wait because August 22nd is right around the corner!

To all club members who plan on riding with us or purchasing a team kit at club cost:

First, there is a mandatory Title IX training being held for all UVU club members. (Not just Cycling club). You have 2 opportunities to attend the meeting, either tomorrow, Tuesday, September 11, or Wednesday, September 12 from 6-7pm on both days. Please do everything you can to attend and let me know via email if you will be there. Sorry it is such short notice.
Second, UVU is now requiring all club members (not just Cycling club) to get physicals. There is an opportunity to get a physical on Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at Student Health Services for only $10. This is a great opportunity to not only fulfill the requirement to be a club participant but to make sure your body is healthy as well. Please email me if you plan on attending this as well. I will send you forms that they want us to fill out in advance. Otherwise, the coordinator of clubs is asking us to get a physical through our own doctors and submit the necessary paperwork.
Once again, email me at [email protected] telling me which night you will be attending the Title IX training and if you would like paperwork for the physical exam on Wednesday night.

MTB season is upon us!

Hey all! We're kicking off the MTB season with our first race at Brian Head, and it's coming up fast! Check the flyer below for information and mark your calendars. This will be a two-day event with 4 different disciplines and it's going to be a blast.
In addition to the fees listed below, Brian Head will be charging a lift fee of $25 for a single day pass. Or, get a discount and buy a 2-day pass for only $35!

Hey guys! Message us if you are interested in ordering a team kit!! We are placing the order next week. Cost will be $75 for a Jersey/enduro top and bibs for club members. Let us know so we can be sure to get your size! I will post the design as soon as I have it next week.

We will be having a group ride this Saturday, June 2 at 6:30pm at Corner Canyon. We will meet at the equestrian park (Andy Ballard Arena as it is called on Google Maps). All ability levels are welcome and we would like to remind you to bring your helmet and water. The helmet is never an option and must be worn at all times when on the bike, so please keep that in mind :) We will decide on what trails exactly we are riding depending on who shows up and what everyone is comfortable with. If necessary we will break into different groups. Please come!! You do not need to be in the actual club yet or even be planning on joining. You also don't need to be fast. I may have raced varsity in high school, but it's been a year and a half so I wouldn't exactly call myself a speedster at this point! This will just be a good opportunity for you to come and see what we are all about. Please let me know if you are planning on coming so that I can plan accordingly.

As for information about the club for those of you who are new, UVU is part of the Intermountain Collegiate Cycling Conference (The IMCCC) through USA Cycling. The IMCCC offers mountain races in the fall (cross country and downhill) and road races in the spring. The college conferences are definitely not as big as the high school league which is why we need your enthusiastic involvement! I would love to see the college conferences grow like NICA was able to and I know it can happen.

We will be ordering team kits in the next month or so and we need to have an idea for numbers of those interested. Fortunately, UVU has the budget to help pay for race kits, registration, and travel and has connections through the UVU Outdoor Adventure Center with deals on bikes and parts.
