“We are an actual track team,” said Track Stars founder Chloe Stanfield. “We do workouts. We learn
breathing techniques. We have practices.” They also do field events.
Track Stars has been running in Downingtown since 2018 and has served hundreds of local families.
“[There is] a real emphasis on accessibility, confidence-building, and positive youth development,”
said Track Stars assistant commissioner Marco Anskis.
Now, the Track Stars program is coming to West Chester.“I wish I had a track program when I was younger,” said Chloe, who started Track Stars while still a
sophomore at Downingtown’s STEM Academy. After a couple of seasons coaching soccer, she
decided to find a way to help the next generation get into her favorite sport. (Chloe is an
accomplished track star in her own right, competing at the collegiate level in the heptathlon—that’s
seven separate events—for Robert Morris University.)
“This program is for absolutely everyone,” said Chloe. ‘It’s for more than just the athletes. It’s about
running your race, your pace. Doing your absolute best. Putting your best foot forward.”
The club is now in its eighth year. It carries with it a couple of hallmarks besides the weekly practices
and field events.
“One of the things I am big on is I use a specific curriculum based on games and play,” said Chloe.
“We play so many creative games that they don’t even realize how much work they are putting in.”
The other club signature is it’s coached by kids—typically current high school and college athletes.
Before the start of a season, the newly hired coaches gather in a classroom at the CCIU for a little
coaching lesson of their own.
“They learn to lead and coach and yell. They learn to use their voices,” said Chloe. The West Chester…..

Did you know our programs start at PreK? Kids as young as 2.5 / 3 years old join our programs as “Tracksters”. This is a mommy/parent and me style program for kids that are ready for an intro sports class!

We recommend that if your little one can play “red light / green light” and likes to run - they are ready for track stars!

Junior Track Stars is a level up program. It is for our kiddos going into Kindergarten and 1st Grade for the next years School Year!

Track Stars Seniors Inaugural Class - 2019 🌟
These kids have gone on to amazing things. There are now 4 college athletes in this class. Left to Right - Esha is now a Cheerleader at Purdue University, Alex a Soccer Player at West Chester University, Josiah now a commit for Manhattan University, and Noah a Rower at MPI. Many of these young men and women went on to continue athletics in high school. Avika and Josiah both came back as coaches in following years. What started as a CAS project in 2018, now 8 years later, still connecting high school students to elementary and middle school youth through track and field. I am so proud to say passionate Student Athletes built this program and continue to make it unique. We have our applications open for Summer 2026 till May 1. I am so excited to see what amazing connections are made this Season.
