It is "only" FOUR weeks from today - on Monday, May 8, 2023 that the Ninth Alert Fire Co. No.1 Annual Golf Outing will take place again, at the Downingtown Country Club and Seven Tap-Tavern Ron Jaworski Golf.

The Downingtown Fire Dept. Fire Prevention Committee recommends that when you change your clocks this weekend, that you change the batteries in your Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Detectors, as well.

At 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 12, 2023 you will be changing your clocks ahead one hour, which means that Daylight Savings Time will begin and Standard Time will end. Please take this time, this weekend to make changing your batteries a family project. In addition to changing your batteries, please check the date that is located on your Smoke Alarm. It is recommend that you also replace your Smoke Alarms every ten years and test them at least once per month.

Something as simple as having a fresh battery may save your life!

Since the largest sporting event in the world, the Super Bowl, is this coming Sunday, this will be a good time for you to "Save the Date" for the second largest sporting event, the Ninth Annual Alert Fire Co. No. 1 Golf Outing!

The golf outing is "only" 13 weeks from today - on Monday, May 8, 2023. The outing will take place again at the Downingtown Country Club and Seven Tap-Tavern , Ron Jaworski Golf.
