Teachers hand kids a syllabus. What’s due. When it’s due. What happens if they fall behind.

Your business doesn’t come with one. No one hands you one for your business. So, most owners wing it.

It’s September. Will Q4 catch you off guard?

The fix: build your own syllabus. Title it: Money Date.

Pick one day. Aim for the same day every week. Look at what came in, what went out, what’s still open. 10-20 minutes. Just look.

That’s the whole assignment.

Four months to go in 2026. Treat them like the back half of a semester: show up, work 1 piece at a time, and walk into finals (December) knowing exactly where you stand.

Revenue is up and your calendar is packed. So why does opening your bank app still make your stomach drop?

High sales do not equal financial clarity. They create noise until you know what is truly yours to spend.

Run this 30-second reality check:
1. The Paycheck: Did you take a predictable salary this month, or a random transfer when the balance looked high?
2. The Tax Reserve: Is that cash balance actual profit, or money set aside for your tax bill?
3. The Runway: If sales paused today, how many weeks of core expenses could that
balance cover?
