Huge news!

Today, the NCAA Division I Council unanimously approved adding women's flag football to the Emerging Sports for Women program, effective immediately (Jan 2026), a major step towards potential NCAA championship status, with teams counting towards the 40-school requirement as programs rapidly grow and gain sponsorship from NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA colleges, notes NCAA.org and mountathletics.com, as momentum builds for the sport, including its 2028 Olympic inclusion.
