We’re back at Downingtown West this Saturday for the next leg of the Winter Series.

You have two options: 5k or 10k. Both races go off at 9:00 AM. If you are looking for a measured course and a solid timed effort before the spring season picks up, this is a good opportunity to get it done.

Whether you’re aiming for that age-group award from on Sunday or just want to feel snappy and strong when the gun goes off, Here is a guide to navigating these final days before toeing the line at Downingtown West HS. Keep the effort controlled and the legs fresh. ⚙️❄️

🗓️ THE FINAL TUNE-UP

👟 Tuesday: Easy Run + 2-4 x 100m Strides @ 5k to Mile Pace (100m Jog Rest) 👟 Wednesday: Warm Up // 1600m @ Marathon Pace (2 Min Rest) + 4-6 x 300m @ 5k Race Pace (90 Sec Rest) // Cool Down
👟 Thursday: Easy Run or Optional Cross Train
👟 Friday: Warm Up // 2-4 x 30 Sec @ MP, 30 Sec Easy + 2-3 x 100m Strides @ 5k to Mile Pace (200m Jog Rest) // Short Cool Down
👟 Saturday (RACE MORNING!): 8-10 Min Easy, Drills, 2-5 Min Easy, Drills, 1-3 x 45 Sec @ HMP (1 Min Jog Rest) + 1-3 Short Fast Strides. Finish Strides 5 Minutes Before Start!
