Jackson fought hard today! He was only a tenth of a second off the leader’s place, qualified second, finished the heat race second, and finished second in the final, all the while driving without full use of his hand. He was so glad to get back on the track and put his last session behind him.

We had an awesome time on Saturday evening at Nicholson Speedway, racing for the first time in both the cadet and mini swift classes. Jackson was running second in cadet when two competitors crashed into him and hurt his wrist, which plagued him for the rest of day. Both karts were plagued by mechanical gremlins, with his chain popping off in the cadet final, leaving him unable to finish, and his mini swift not starting until the final. Still, he got out on the track, had fun, and got some laps in. Looking forward to heading back there in two weeks!
