Check-In & Stage Testing

Performer Check-In Begins: 7:30 AM
No entry will be permitted before 7:30 AM.

Each performer will receive a goodie bag which includes two badges - one for the performer and one for the backstage support person.

This must be worn at all times during backstage access.

Dressing rooms and designated warm-up areas will be available for use. Specific locations and directions will be provided during the check-in process.

Stage Testing: 8:30 AM - 9:45 AM
Stage testing is open to all performers (Youth, Adult Amateur & PRO).
Each performer will have up to 2 minutes on stage.
Please use this time to test specific skills, transitions, or equipment rather than performing your full routine.

Performers who choose not to participate in stage testing should check-in at least one hour before their scheduled performance time, as listed below.

Attendees are welcome to leave and return throughout the day; however, no entry or exit will be permitted during performances.

We ask that all performers report backstage 30 minutes before their scheduled performance.

Awards Ceremony
Join us as we celebrate an incredible day of performances at the Awards Ceremony.

We encourage all competitors to stay as we recognize the outstanding talent, dedication, and achievements of our performers and crown our division winners. If you are competing, please be backstage 10 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Can’t stay for awards? If you place in your division, you have two options:
Have a representative collect your award on your behalf following the ceremony.
Have your medal shipped directly to you for a $15 shipping fee.
Score sheets will be emailed to all performers within 2–3 weeks following the conclusion of the event.

JEHAN IS BACK!

Jehan joined our judging panel last year for Downey’s Pacific South West Regionals and is back once again!

Jehan is a movement scientist, creative producer, and the founder-director of The Stage Global in Pomona, California. With a Master’s in Kinesiology and credentials as both a Sports Performance Coach and Medical Exercise Specialist, Jehan masterfully blends the science and art of human movement to create transformative approaches to training and performance.

A passionate advocate for inclusivity in sport and the performing arts, her work celebrates every body’s right to move, express, and excel.

As a performer, Jehan is known for her bold stage presence, theatrical characters, and powerful storytelling through intentional, expressive movement.

Over the past decade, Jehan has written, directed, and produced more than fifty circus and pole productions worldwide — including directing the inaugural Pole Theatre Egypt competition in 2019 and Rise: The Night Pole Show in Los Angeles in 2020.

A two-time gold medalist with the PSO, Jehan has also coached athletes across the United States, Australia, and the Middle East to podium finishes in both aerial and pole competitions.

WELCOME BACK SHARYN! Sharyn Scott

Sharyn was part of our very first judging panels for SoCal’s PACIFIC SOUTH WEST REGIONALS, and we are so honored to have her back, joining us for this year’s competition in Downey, CA on Sunday, Oct. 25th✨

Sharyn is an accomplished aerialist, circus performer, and coach who hails from the small town of Erial, NJ (pronounced “aerial”). It makes sense that she would later live up to her hometown namesake and become an aerialist.

As a kid, she was a competitive cheerleader who loved to flip and tumble. It wasn’t until she found aerial that she discovered how much she was missing that feeling of connection to her body that cheer had brought her.

Through aerial and pole dance, Sharyn fell in love with circus arts and moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue her dreams of performing. Her curiosity and dedication to movement led her beyond aerial, picking up new disciplines like fire dancing, roller skating, and mermaiding. She enjoys the challenge of learning something new and finding ways to connect them to her existing practices.

Sharyn has studied human movement extensively, earning certifications from NASM, NESTA, and a 200hr YTT. She has been a passionate coach since 2011 and has taught her signature aerial chains workshops across the US.

She finds immense joy in working with her students to step into their own creative journey and supporting them in reaching their goals.

She is honored and excited to be back on the panel of judges this year! ✨
