Play Ball!

“Grace for Garcia” needs a few teams for 6U (free) and 1 more team for 9U. All proceeds will be going to this family but two age groups currently don’t have enough teams which means no play. They have 2 kids with a rare blood disease and a dad that’s had his own health needs and not able to work.

For DSR games this week, please refrain from
parking in the lower parking lot near the baseball and softball buildings. It is reserved for buses and officials for high school District tournament.

2026 work day was a huge success thanks to all of our volunteers! We got a lot done including new batting cages, lights fixed, dirt put on fields, concession cleaned, and much more. We had a lot of equipment donated and ran by some great guys in our community! We could not operate without volunteers! We had several ball park kiddos that pitched in as well!

The weather will be great tomorrow, so we are going to move work day at DSR to 2/28 (tomorrow) instead of next weekend. It’s supposed to rain.
We have dirt that has been delivered. We have two new batting cages that need to be installed. There will be a couple of tractors there. We would love any help that we can get!! There Is a lot to be done before season starts so please join us to get the fields and park ready to go!!! We would love for our younger kids to also come and be involved. They can get community service hours for this as well!

Baseball and softball tryouts are still ON at this time. We are aware of the weather, but we will still try to get them in somehow! If your child cannot attend they will still be drafted and placed on a team! 1:00 Baseball 3:00 softball.

Big projects are underway at DSR! Special thanks to McConnell Construction and Hillis Construction for contributing their time and resources to fix the sidewalks and pour additional concrete!

⚾🥎Dover Summer Rec Meet & Greet / Info Night + Tryout Information ⚾🥎

We’re officially kicking off the 2026 DSR season and inviting all parents, players, coaches, and community members to join us.

We’ll cover new rules and season updates, expectations for parents and teams, candy sales, concession duties, work days, volunteer opportunities, and what to expect for the upcoming T-Ball, Baseball, and Softball season. There will also be time for questions, answers, and public comment.

If you have a player, plan to coach, or just have questions — this meeting is for you. Come get the info so you can’t say you didn’t know later!

Baseball & Softball Tryouts are Saturday, February 14.
Baseball starts at 1:00 PM
Softball starts at 3:00 PM.
All age groups 6U–15U (baseball) and up to 14U (softball) need to attend.
The only groups that do not try out are T-Ball and 12U softball.

We hope to see everyone there!
