The Zoar Golf Club family is deeply saddened to share the passing of Richard “Rich” Frank, one of our founding owners, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 92.
As the oldest brother of the Frank family, Rich helped open Zoar Village Golf Course in 1975, and the course we enjoy today is part of the legacy he leaves behind. Beyond golf, Rich was a lifelong entrepreneur, a U.S. Army veteran, and a devoted supporter of his community. He and his wife of 68 years, Barbara, gave generously to the Coshocton area, including establishing the Richard Anthony Frank Memorial Scholarship to help local students pursue their education. He was also a proud fan of the Cleveland Guardians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Dr., Coshocton, with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coshocton Foundation in support of the Richard Anthony Frank Memorial Scholarship, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, or Hospice of Central Ohio.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara, the entire Frank family, and all who knew and loved Rich. Thank you for everything you gave to this course and this community.
