It’s awesome when a project comes together ! Thanks to our volunteers who helped transport and install three new bridges on Creek and Scout Trails.
The bridges were prebuilt by Rob Reed, our ‘project manager” and transported with the help of Pete Huha. Kurt, Beth Ann, Pete, and Brad also volunteered their time to help put them in place this morning. This drainage area will be much easier and safer for hikers to cross now.

Time is running out to register for this amazing program to learn about TREES . Kids will even get to plant a tree in the picnic area of the park.

So interesting to watch the changes throughout the summer! We have tried to provide a wide range of native pollinator plants so that there is food for insects through out the growing season. A new wave of blooms in July has attracted more insects and butterflies.
Two of our milkweed species have finished blooming, so now is the time to look for monarch caterpillars. Also blooming right now are Beebalm, Swamp Milkweed, Purple Coneflowers, Tickseed, Joe Pye W**d, and Mountain Mint. A coming attraction will be Goldenrod, which is so important for pollinators in late summer and early fall.
You can visit our pollinator field on Limekiln Road (Look for the Monarch Habitat sign) Park in the grassy area along the road.

Amity Township has issued a Burn Ban. It will be in effect till further notice. With ongoing dry conditions and an Extreme Heat Warning in place, the risk of fire spread and heat-related emergencies remains significantly elevated.

Please do your part to help protect our community:
• Do not conduct any open burning, including recreational fires, brush burning, or debris burning.
• Properly dispose of ci******es and smoking materials.
• Avoid parking vehicles on dry grass, as hot exhaust systems can ignite vegetation.
• Report any signs of smoke or fire immediately by calling 9-1-1.

🌡️ Extreme Heat Safety Tips
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day. Wherever possible, move outdoor activities inside to airconditioned spaces.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those with medical conditions.
• Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle—even for a few minutes.
• Bring pets indoors or ensure they have plenty of fresh water and shade.

Our emergency services, public works personnel, and public safety officials continue to monitor conditions and are prepared to respond if needed.
