There’s a burst of blooms this week for our milkweed plants in the Monocacy Hill pollinator field. Great news for the monarch butterflies that are starting to visit.
Other pollinator plants will bloom later and support a wide variety of insects. Stop in and visit for a few minutes.

The field is located long Limekiln Road on the west side of the park. It s the opposite side of the road from Buckwalters . There’s just enough room to pull off and park on the grass near the 2950 mailbox.

Stop in Monocacy Hill today for our Spring Open House. We are enjoying talking to hikers of all ages. We are still here and will stay until 5PM . Free drinks and snacks for your hike or as a reward afterwards.

Thanks to all the great volunteers that joined us today. We got so such accomplished in just 2 hours… including 10 BIG BAGS of Garlic mustard!

VIsit us this Sunday at Monocacy Hill. Our SPRING OPEN HOUSE is a little later this year, but there are still wildflowers blooming and it is the perfect time to take a hike and stop in for free snacks and drinks.
