Leslie Mccullough ISR Infant Swimming Resource is the safest and ONLY provider of comprehensive swimming and self-rescue.

ISR's Self-Rescue survival swimming program is a 6 to 8 week course, scheduled 5 days per week, Monday thru Friday, for 10 minutes each day. With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations, and parent education. Children may begin lessons at 6months of age until 6 years of age. Lessons for infants 6-12 months old focus on teaching the child to rol

l onto their back to float, rest and breathe, and to be able to maintain this life-saving position until help arrives. Lessons for children 1-6 years old focus on teaching the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim with their head down; roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe; and roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool, where they can either crawl out or until they can be rescued. Once the children are fully skilled they will practice ISR's survival techniques fully clothed during lessons.

“What Is ISR?”

ISR is not your traditional swim lesson. 💦
Infant Swimming Resource lessons focus on teaching infants and young children survival swimming skills appropriate for their developmental level.

Depending on their age and abilities, children learn skills such as:
• Holding their breath underwater
• Rolling onto their back
• Maintaining an independent float
• Swimming with their face in the water
• Using a swim-float-swim sequence
• Finding the wall or steps and working toward an exit

Lessons are short—typically about 10 minutes each day, 4 days per week—because consistency and repetition matter when children are developing these skills.

ISR doesn't replace adult supervision, barriers, alarms, or life jackets when appropriate. It is one layer of protection in a family's water-safety plan.
