Did you know that after only three years in existence the Traverse City Curling Club is sending a team of 4 local women to the USA Curling Arena National Championship? Jillian Riecke, Cara Colburn, and Allison Rose of Traverse City, and Dustine Murphy of Interlochen will represent the TC Curling Club and the Great Lakes Curling Association as one of 15 women’s teams from around the country competi

ng at the University of Notre Dame on April 25th-30th. Our goals for our first national competition are to represent Traverse City and the GLCA with class and integrity, gain valuable experience to bring back to our new, growing club, and make long lasting curling friendships.

Lost a heart breaker in an extra end to Pittsburgh. It's a tough loss but we had a wonderful weekend and played our hearts out! Thank you everyone for the support.

Lost a really good game 5-2 to a great Pittsburgh team. Proud of the team for hanging in there and curling about as well as we have all week. Play the same team in the quarterfinals at 8am tomorrow.

Pulled off an 8-4 win early this morning. Play another 3-0 team at 4pm. Guaranteed quarterfinals tonight. A win gives us a chance to go directly to semis tomorrow.

Lost a heartbreaker Game 1 by one point to Lone Star Curling Club. Had one bad end, but played pretty decently otherwise. Gotta erase the disappointment and move on. Game 2 at noon tomorrow. Proud of my ladies! -Jill
