PNTC 2026 Recap

As athletes begin making their way to Salt Lake City, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on an incredible two weeks of training at PNTC 2026.

This year’s camp brought together dedicated athletes from across the country for focused training in bouldering, lead, and speed climbing. Through mock competitions, onsight challenges, projecting sessions, power endurance training, and technical skill development, athletes were challenged to think strategically, perform under pressure, and continue refining their competition skills.

Throughout four training blocks, athletes tackled demanding routes and boulders, built consistency on the speed wall, analyzed World Cup competition footage, and developed valuable skills in route reading, movement efficiency, ex*****on, and mindset. The lessons learned throughout camp will not only support athletes at Nationals this week but will continue to benefit them throughout the upcoming season.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, growth, determination, and professionalism shown by every athlete throughout camp.

Good luck to all of our athletes competing at Nationals this week! Travel safely, climb hard, trust your preparation, and enjoy the experience.

SCTC 2026 Recap

Now that camp has wrapped up and everyone has had a chance to recover, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on an incredible two weeks of training, growth, and community.

Athletes challenged themselves through dynamic movement training, projecting sessions, speed climbing, competition-style bouldering, mock competitions, and countless opportunities to learn and grow. More importantly, they built friendships, supported one another, embraced challenges, and helped create the positive environment that makes SCTC so special.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, resilience, and enthusiasm shown by every athlete throughout camp and can’t wait to see how they build on these experiences during the 2026-27 season.

Thank you to all of our athletes, families, coaches, and staff for making SCTC 2026 such a success!

PNTC Final Bouldering Recap

To wrap up camp, bouldering athletes took on an onsight-format mock competition that challenged them to apply everything they had worked on throughout the past two weeks.

Athletes were tested on their ability to read movement, make quick decisions, adapt on the fly, and execute under pressure without prior practice. The following day, they returned to unfinished boulders, working with coaches to better understand movement, explore alternative solutions, and refine their approach.

Throughout camp, athletes consistently demonstrated resilience, creativity, and a willingness to embrace difficult challenges. It was exciting to watch their confidence and problem-solving abilities grow with each block.

PNTC Final Lead Recap

Lead athletes closed out PNTC with a mock competition featuring four newly set competition-style routes designed to challenge both physical ability and competition mindset.

The routes demanded strong route reading, committed movement, and effective decision-making under pressure. Athletes were asked to trust their preparation, apply lessons learned throughout camp, and execute when it mattered most.

The coaching staff was especially impressed by the growth demonstrated throughout the final block. Improved route reading, stronger clipping decisions, better pacing, and increased confidence were evident across the group.

After two demanding weeks of training, athletes have earned some well-deserved rest and are well prepared for the competitions ahead.

PNTC Final Speed Recap

The final block of PNTC gave athletes the opportunity to put weeks of hard work into practice.

Athletes kicked things off with a mock competition, showcasing the consistency, focus, and technical improvements they had developed throughout camp. Training continued with target-zone work, precision-based drills, and exercises designed to improve body awareness, adaptability, and ex*****on.

We wrapped up camp with speed relays, friendly competitions, games, and a reaction-time tournament, creating a fun finish to two weeks of hard work and growth.

The coaching staff has been incredibly impressed by the professionalism, dedication, and positive attitude shown by athletes throughout the entire camp. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.

SCTC Block 4 Recap

Our final training block gave athletes the opportunity to put weeks of hard work into action.

Athletes kicked things off with a mock onsight competition, practicing route reading, decision-making, and performing under pressure. They then moved to ropes for focused projecting sessions before taking on coach-designed circuits in the Training Center.

The final day included speed climbing, challenging competition-style boulders, and one last opportunity to apply the skills developed throughout camp.

From start to finish, athletes demonstrated persistence, problem-solving, and a willingness to embrace new challenges. It was an awesome way to finish another great block of training.

PNTC Block 3 Recap 💥
Album 1
The third block of PNTC is complete, and athletes continue to bring incredible effort and focus to every training session.
Bouldering athletes worked through four challenging boulders that were broken into sections, focusing on understanding movement and building successful sequences before attempting full climbs. The format encouraged strategic thinking, problem solving, and ex*****on under pressure.
Lead athletes spent the block onsighting difficult routes, revisiting previous projects, and refining route reading and clipping strategies. We saw some impressive sends and even more impressive efforts as athletes continued pushing themselves through a demanding week of training.
Speed athletes focused on consistency, ex*****on, and quality movement. Training included opportunities for personal records, weighted laps, target zone training, speed endurance, and supplemental strength work designed to support long-term performance.
We continue to be impressed by the work ethic, professionalism, and determination shown by all athletes throughout camp.

SCTC Block 3 Recap

Week 2 is underway, and we were excited to welcome a new group of athletes to camp while continuing to build on the momentum from Week 1.

Athletes took on dynamic movement stations, Shadow Walk challenges, rope climbing projects, spray wall circuits, and speed climbing sessions designed to build coordination, confidence, movement efficiency, and problem-solving skills.

Day two shifted the focus to ex*****on, with many athletes achieving tops and breakthroughs on climbs that had challenged them just one day earlier.

Throughout the block, athletes demonstrated persistence, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new challenges. We are excited to see that momentum continue into the next block!

PNTC Block 2 Recap 💥

The second block of PNTC is complete and athletes continued to challenge themselves across all three disciplines.

Bouldering athletes wrapped up the week with an onsight-style mock competition that tested their ability to read movement, make quick decisions, and execute under pressure. Athletes then revisited unsent boulders, working with coaches to better understand movement, explore different solutions, and refine their technique.

Lead athletes took on a mock competition featuring both flash and true onsight formats similar to those used at Nationals. The routes demanded commitment, confidence, and strong decision making. Athletes also continued building power endurance through spray wall sessions and spent time analyzing competition footage from the Prague World Cup to learn from the world's best climbers.

Speed athletes focused on consistency and ex*****on throughout the block. A mock competition kicked things off with several athletes setting personal records, while endurance training and supplemental strength work helped athletes continue building a strong foundation for future performance.

The coaching staff continues to be impressed with the effort, professionalism, and commitment shown by all athletes throughout camp.

Nationals registration opens today for qualified athletes.
