Pak Sao (Slapping Hand) drill is a foundational Wing Chun reflex exercise. It trains practitioners their distance and timing to step off the centerline and immediately launch a counter-strike. A Pak (Slapping) is a relax, heavy hand, slapping the arm sending a jolt like feeling. Kinda like slapping giant mosquito. This triggers an immediate brain response, blinking, stiffening up, being startle. Which gives the wing chun practitioner time to stay or move on.

In this B**g Lop Sao Drill training session we are trying to take each others balance followed by an attack. "Why not i just force my way thru" Well if stiff will lead to being Lop. If too forward/forceful will lead to being lop easier.. A lop is a spontaneous force (A Jolt) that should feel like whiplash.

"B**g Lop Sao" refers to a fundamental Wing Chun training drill that combines two specific hand techniques—B**g Sao (Wing Arm/Deflection) and Lop Sao (grabbing hand/pulling hand)—to teach practitioners how to redirect an opponent's energy and immediately counterattack. The drill focus on control and redirect an opponent's arm. It involves grabbing the opponent's limb spontaneously to break their balance and create openings for simultaneous counterattacks.
