👑 A little something from my heart…
I don’t know if I could ever fully explain what Miss Bama Belle means to me.
To some people, it may just be a pageant. A stage, pretty dresses, crowns and sashes. But to me, it is so much more than that. Miss Bama Belle is my baby. I have poured countless hours, sleepless nights, ideas, worries, excitement, love, and so much of my heart into making it what it is today.
And I am so incredibly proud of it.
Every year, I watch girls walk through our doors with big dreams and nervous smiles, hoping that maybe this will be their day. I know how badly some of them want that crown. I know how much their families have invested to get them there. And because I care so much about these girls, one of the hardest parts for me is knowing that at the end of the day, not everyone can win.
I never want a girl to leave Miss Bama Belle believing that because she didn’t hear her name called, she wasn’t good enough. A judge’s decision on one particular day could never determine a girl’s worth. I hope every contestant leaves knowing that I am proud of her simply for having the courage to step on that stage.
But I also want to protect what a Miss Bama Belle title means.
When one of our girls earns that crown, I want her heart to absolutely burst with pride. I want her to know she accomplished something special. I want her to wear her sash knowing that she represents something we have worked very hard to build.
Because when I place a Miss Bama Belle crown on a girl’s head, I’m not just giving her a crown.
I’m welcoming her into our family. 💗
Our royalty become my girls. I love watching them grow, cheering them on in whatever comes next, seeing them return, and watching the friendships and memories they make along the way. Their reign may eventually end, but I hope their place in this family never does.
Once a Bama Belle, always a Bama Belle. 👑
As this pageant has grown, I’ve realized even more how important it is to me that we never lose the heart behind it. I don’t want Miss Bama Belle to ever become just another pageant. I want the crown to mean something. I want the title to mean something. I want being part of this family to mean something.
Most of all, I want every girl who walks across our stage to know she mattered to us.
To every family who has trusted me with your girl, every contestant who has stepped onto our stage, every former queen who still comes back, and every little girl dreaming of becoming a Bama Belle someday… thank you.
Thank you for loving something that I have put so much of myself into.
Miss Bama Belle wouldn’t be what it is without all of you, and I hope you know that I will never stop working to make it something our girls are proud to be a part of.
This pageant has a very big piece of my heart.
And so do my Bama Belle girls. 💗👑✨
