Regional weekend—a weekend to prove yourself. You only get one shot to make it to the state championships. With every weight bracket stacked with ranked wrestlers, our boys had to fight for a chance at qualifying. It was a matter of showing up ready to wrestle to the best of our ability. Unfortunately, not all of us were able to get past the tough competition.
However, Nathan Hill and River Wickstrom were in the fight until the very end. River went 4-3 to ultimately get 5th place—just missing out on a spot to qualify. Nathan went 5-2 to get 4th place and QUALIFY for state!
Our boys put in some serious work throughout this year and are hungry for more! We had many successes this season, including winning the SJBL tournament, and we are looking to only build upon those successes. Our team is young and our future is bright!
