Big staff effort as 2 the Tigers 12U pitchers team up for no-hitter in win over Bernie

Two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter for the Tigers 12U in an 11-2 victory in five innings over Bernie on Saturday at Bernie High School.
Karson Fay and Trey Rivas teamed up to stifle Bernie, striking out 12 while walking six.
Bernie couldn't get anything going as long as Trey was on the bump. Trey held Bernie hitless over four innings, allowed two earned runs, walked six and struck out nine.

The Tigers 12U's Trey showed his talents on both sides of the diamond with a strong game on the hill and at the plate.

Trey went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Tigers 12U. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and fourth innings.

The Tigers 12U blew out Bernie thanks to 10 hits, including three extra base hits. The Tigers 12U scored four runs in the fifth on the Tigers 12U scored in the fifth on an error, a two-run single by Luke Dinkins, and a groundout by Ethan Pepper.

#10 couldn't get it done on the mound for Bernie, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.

The Tigers 12U went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on a two-run home run by Trey.

After posting two runs in the third, the Tigers 12U again scored two in the fourth. In the third, the Tigers 12U scored on a two-run single by Kyle Hicks, bringing home Trey and Heath Ayers.

A ground out scored Evan Mccaig to get the Tigers 12U on the board in the inning.

The Tigers 12U cruise past Puxico, 11-1

Puxico didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the Tigers 12U captured a blowout 11-1 win in five innings at West Park Field one.

The Tigers 12U scored five runs in the fourth on the Tigers 12U scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Heath Ayers, a two-run double by Austin Grimes, and an error.

Austin racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Tigers 12U.

Heath pitched lights out for the Tigers 12U. A gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out three during his five innings of work.

#13 couldn't get it done on the rubber for Puxico, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Tigers 12U didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when they scored on two singles.

After posting one run in the second, the Tigers 12U again scored one in the third. In the second, the Tigers 12U scored on a wild pitch, scoring Evan Mccaig. And Austin Grimes hit a line drive homer to center.

The Tigers 12U uses big fifth inning to beat Zalma, 12-1

A 10-run explosion in the fifth inning spurred the Tigers 12U to a 12-1 win in five innings over Zalma at West Park Field one on Saturday.

The Tigers 12U scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Kyle Hicks, a walk by Evan Mccaig, a two-run single by Ty Martin, an RBI single by Luke Dinkins, a fielder's choice, a two-run single by Trey Rivas, an RBI single by Evan, and a walk by Ty .

The Tigers 12U's Austin Grimes was perfect at the dish, going 1-1. He singled in the fifth inning.

Trey brought the heat against Zalma during his outing. Zalma managed just one hit off of R, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out eight during his five innings of work.

#11 couldn't get it done on the mound for Zalma, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed two runs.

The Tigers 12U went up for good in the second, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Luke .

Early lead gives the Tigers 12U easy victory over Advance Black, 14-7

The Tigers 12U shut the door early on Advance Black, capturing a 14-7 victory on Saturday at West Park Field one.

With 12 runs in the first three innings, the Tigers 12U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI double by Gage Keller, an RBI double by Trey Rivas, an RBI double by Kyle Hicks, and an RBI single by Austin Grimes during the first inning and an RBI triple by Karson Fay, an RBI triple by Gage, an RBI single by Trey, and a two-run double by Austin in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Tigers 12U.

Trey racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Tigers 12U.

Even though Karson allowed seven runs over four innings he still recorded the victory. Karson struck out five, walked six and gave up four hits.

The Tigers 12U pounded Advance Black pitching, as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

#22 was charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked two and struck out four.

In the top of the first, Advance Black grabbed the early lead, 2-0. #24 singled to ignite Advance Black's offense. Then moved #24 from first to second. #5 doubled, bringing home #24. More runs came home for Advance Black when scored on a groundout by #23.

After a quick strike from Advance Black, the Tigers 12U responded with three runs in the third. The Tigers 12U scored on a hit by pitch, a walk by Trey, and a walk by Evan Mccaig.
