⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5
Pros: Friendly dealers who keep a fast-paced game! Tables are open on most sea days and evenings while in international waters. If you want to know what time the tables open - ask a pit boss and they'll let you know asap. There are two tables (one in smoking one non-smoking), both going when busy. $10 min bets. Good mix of regulars and people wanting to learn and play. Table itself is hard surface and they use standard dice.
Cons: Only 2x odds (3x if $25). THE DICE MUST HIT THE BACKWALL! Otherwise no throw - I hate this, and they are sticklers for it. Also they do not treat pass line as a contract bet - you can jump in at any time or leave, super weird (so this is a plus). Otherwise traditional Vegas rules. Buys are pre-buy so I'd avoid it. Dealers tap a bell when they get tipped - adds to fun.

DC Dice in Las Vegas May 4-8! Staying at the Red Rock Casino Resort. Hopefully, we'll get time to check out the $5 tables at Downtown Grand for the first time, and Ellis Island. Otherwise no big plans other than a few poker tournaments.

Pros: Absolutely the most friendly & energetic dealers! They create great table vibes and cheer when points hit etc- even the box man! Drink service is also excellent. You can play here even if not staying at the property- lots of people do. Table itself is hard surface but oddly bouncy, they use big dice, and open at 8pm.

Cons: A few dealers needed help with pays but it got figured out, and can be slow at times for throws - so just go with the island time vibe! Zero traditional etiquette for buy in by others so game slows quite a bit.

$15 table min and $5 hard ways (each) minimum. Otherwise traditional Vegas rules and 3-4-5x odds. You can bet $1 hard ways for dealers however. (They go nuts when they win).

If you’re in the Dominican Republic and have the dice itch - this is a great place to go!

Pros: Good dealers, All-Tall-Small feature bet (con: max bet is 5-5-5), best 'buy' rules I've ever seen- you can buy 5/9 at $20 and it's post pay! So remember to keep those 5/9 bets even and buy as soon as you're at 20. 10x odds, which is also very good.
The table itself has a hard surface - low bounce and are all 16 foot long tables, they also use the smaller dice.

The attached hotel is decent and there is new Subway and the sitdown restaurant is good but can be pricey.
Pro tip: on the weekends get a reservation at Signatures Supper Club in Northwood (only open on weekends and is fantastic).

Cons: Can get pretty busy at the tables on the weekends. Table mins are $10 (used to be $5 before pandemic). Some of the pit bosses are cranky, but dealers are pretty great and as long as you tip well, they'll keep your bets proper. The long tables can be a challenge for dice setters.

Pros: Great dealers, All-Tall-Small feature bet (and you can rebuy if it hits one side), two 'crapless' craps tables which are fun; great regular players during daytime hours; okay drink service, good food options - especially the italian steak house.
The hotel is very nice and has large rooms and amenities.

Cons: Table mins are $25 which requires a very high bank roll limiting players to generally only those that generally know the game. But with such a high minium, the weekend late evening play has too many irregular players who make strange bets and play angry since the table mins are high. I'd avoid weekend nights.

So you win big or loss big. Me: I won big day one. (Hit all tall small at 10-5-10). Medium loss day 2. Overall doubled up.
Pro tip: This is a Boyd property- same as Diamond Jo in Iowa. And go during the early evening or daytime hours for some sharp shooters!
