The countdown to Green is on!

The shop has been wide open all winter. Between a demanding fuel and service season and race prep in full swing, it’s been nonstop — but our Super Street program is coming together strong and we’re ready for 2026.

We’re excited to announce that we’re returning home to the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Speedway in Hermon Maine. With the improvements at the track, renewed energy under new leadership, and not to mention the momentum building around the upcoming season, we’re confident this will be one of the most competitive and exciting venues local racing has seen in decades.

To our marketing partners — thank you. Your continued support allows us to compete at a high level and represent your businesses with pride and professionalism. Our goal is simple: chase wins, battle for a championship, and put our partners front and center in Victory Lane with Jack “The Rabbit” McKee behind the wheel.

To our fans — we need you in the stands. Bring your friends, wear your gear, and help us pack the place. The competition will be fierce, the racing will be intense, and we’re ready to give it everything we’ve got.

Let’s make 2026 a season to remember. See you at the track!

Race number two for Jack is in the books. We really thought we had something for them this week after setting fast time in practice. The car started to develop an ignition issue during the caution filled feature. Jack was lucky to salvage a 3rd place finish. We will be back in two weeks to do it again.

After a very productive test session on Friday and setting fast time in practice, the car began losing engine performance in the feature. We were lucky to sa...

We all had a lot of fun on Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway. After a brief weather delay in the morning, the sun poked out and we got things underway. While struggling with radio issues and an unusually hard right front Hoosier tire, Garrit started and finished the feature P14 of 22. At the end of the day we rolled a whole car into the trailer and already can't wait for the next one.

Kennebec Rental steps up again as the premier sponsor for the Pro All Stars Series Modified division. Whenever we need equipment or tools not in our McKee Energy inventory, Kennebec Rental in Bangor is always our first stop to find what we need to get the job done. We are a proud business partner and happy to display their division sponsor decal on our Pass Modified. We are looking forward to a great 2024 season.

After a short winter hiatus we are back in the shop getting ready for the 2024 season. Our big leap forwards this year will be Garrit Jr. committing to the Pass Modified Touring Series. This year’s schedule will take us through the Northeast including tracks like White Mountain, Thunder Road, Star Speedway and of course Oxford Plains Speedway. Jack will return to the 4 cylinder prostock division at Wiscasset Speedway to fight for a points championship. He looks to build on the momentum he gained at the end of last season with two dominating feature wins. Stay tuned for all our progress throughout the season and we hope to see you at the track.

The Rabbit does it again! Jack scores his second victory of the season at Wiscasset Speedway in the 4 Cylinder Pro Stock division. Early on in the race while the top points contenders were playing defense, Jack checked out to a commanding lead for most of the race. After a caution brought the field back together, he was able to maintain the top spot and take the checkers.

Mechanical issues took us out of our last race, today Jack was able to start on the pole after a heat race win. Despite some tough competition Jack was able ...

Fire resistant does not mean fire proof. We had the car to beat this week, but things didn’t turn out the way we had hoped. Since he last raced Jack took a week off to focus on his brothers Modified for the Oxford 250 weekend. In turn the last two weeks the boys spent focusing on Jack’s 4 Cylinder Prostock and checked and adjusted every part of the car. Between the two of them they do most of the regular maintenance on both cars and they put in a lot of hours learning and getting things right. We had planned to turn some practice laps on Friday, but one gremlin after another kept us from making it to the track before it closed. We unloaded with a very tight condition in the first practice and then bolted on the last of our sticker tires we had been saving to scuff during the second. When Jack came in after the last practice smoke was rolling from under the left front wheel well. We removed the hood and found a fairly significant fire rolling out from behind the engine bay on the drivers side. Luckily a couple of empty water bottles later the fire was out. An oil leak from the valve cover had saturated the “fire resistant” insulation between the foot box and the header pipe. What looked pretty bad initially, we thought was merely superficial cosmetic damage. We were wrong. During the heat race the rear most #4 sparkplug wire that had been scorched simply fell apart. Our spare set of plug wires were already missing the #4 wire and the rest weren’t long enough to reach the #4 plug. Unable to find a plug wire that would work, our worst best choice was to reinstall the charred plug wire that was causing a considerable skip, start at the back of the pack, then make one green flag lap and bring it in to end our night. In the line up with only minutes before the start of the race the 7B Burgess team found us a plug wire that fit and cured our problem. Jack started from the pole and checked out to a significant early lead turning what would be the fastest laps of the race and only getting faster every lap. On lap 5 a yellow came out for spin in turn 4 from another competitor. When the next green flag dropped the car simply fell on its face and had no power. The borrowed plug wire had fallen off the distributor, ending our night. That’s racing… We will be back for the next one with new plug wires and maybe even a complete spare set.
