Due to the amount of interest and support we’ve received, we’ve officially expanded the program from a 6-week session to a 3 week each month summer program!

We’re also opening the program up to a wider age group now welcoming athletes ages 7–17 of all fitness levels.

The Hammer Strength Seated Leg Curl

Setup (this matters more than most people think)

* Knee alignment: Your knee joint should line up with the machine’s pivot point.
* Pad position: The lower pad should sit just above your heels/Achilles.
* Back tight: Keep your hips glued into the seat—no sliding forward.
* Toe position: Slightly pointed toes (plantarflexed) can help reduce calf takeover and bias hamstrings.

Ex*****on

* Curl with intent: Think about pulling your heels down and back, not just moving the pad.
* Full range: Stretch fully at the top without losing tension, then curl as far as possible.
* Squeeze hard: Hold the contraction for 1–2 seconds at the bottom.
* Controlled negative: 2–3 seconds on the way up—don’t let the weight snap back.

Common mistakes

* Lifting your hips off the seat (kills hamstring tension)
* Letting calves dominate (toes pulled up too much)
* Rushing reps with no control
