It's all about CULTURE
Sure, the workouts are great. Sure, the equipment is nice and the facility is sweet. But what does any of that mean if you don't leave feeling better than when you walked in?
That's where culture comes into play.
It's something that's taken me a while to figure out and develop as an owner, and I'm proud to say that we're heading in the right direction.
Culture is the feeling you get when you walk through the doors. It's the conversations you have with other members, the coach who takes a picture of you or helps you clean up your form, and the community that celebrates your progress.
It's the fist bumps, the encouragement, the laughs between sets, and the feeling you carry with you for the rest of the day.
That's what keeps you coming back. That's what keeps you motivated.
At Topo, we're building a culture around being welcoming, friendly, and hardworking. You shouldn't have to wonder whether anyone will talk to you when you walk in. You'll be greeted, you'll be encouraged, and before long, the people you see at the gym can become genuine friends.
We expect our members to be kind, welcoming, and encouraging to newcomers, and to treat each other the same way. That's not just a nice bonus. It's part of who we are.
One thing I've learned is that culture starts at the top. It starts with me as the owner, carries through to how our coaches run their classes, and grows through the relationships members build with one another.
But here's the interesting part: culture isn't just something you inherit when you join a gym. You have an opportunity to shape it, too.
Every conversation, every fist bump, every word of encouragement helps create the kind of place we all want to come back to.
I'm proud of the direction Topo is heading, and I'm grateful to the people who help make it what it is.
Let's keep building something good together.
