Good Day, Shooters! We will not have Open Practice this week (Thr 9/16), we'll see you next week! Enjoy the cooler weather and hopefully some rain at the end of the week.
We have a few projects we'll follow up on before winter sets in:
1. Tim & John will organize a membership volunteer effort for a weekend to strip & re-shingle the clubhouse roof. Stay tuned for a future announcement on that.
2. The order has been placed for a new "chondel-rabbit" trap machine and wireless call system ETA is 4-6 weeks. This adds to two used trap machines purchased from Billings club earlier this summer and the three trap machines we have to outfit a sporting clays/5 stand set-up.
We also have "movable" concrete pads donated by L&S Concrete to build out shooter stands. Thanks!
We'll organize a committee of other members and another volunteer effort to set this up and invite interested members to begin shooting a dedicated evening and later a weekend day of "5 Stand" shooting.
3. We did not get adequate funding from our ATA Gun Club Fund grant request to cover our trap field lights project. John and I spoke about scaling back the project and moving forward with lighting 2 trap fields. John & I will regroup on that with our electrician Joe Esposito to get going.
Vigilante Electric is donating and placing three power poles and ATA awarded us about 10% of the original protect cost for the lights and electric work. The club will look at funding the rest.
A volunteer effort is NOT needed for this but will reach out to a few people to lend a hand.
