District 11 American Legion Senior Awards tonight at the Jessup Legion. Congrats to DC Post 665 player Shaun Behrens on being awarded the Mahalidge Sportsmanship Award.

Unfortunately, there Senior team didn't win the league Championship last week but it was a great year. We had 10 players who played their last Legion game. A lot of these players have been playing Legion since they were in Jr Legion and made a lot of memories. Good luck to them in their future endeavors as they accomplished so much through their baseball careers. Also, a special thank you to Dickson City Legion Post 665 for sponsoring the team again and to our coaches on both teams who volunteer their time during the season.

Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 Falls To Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion

Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 could not keep up with Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion 7-3 on Friday.

Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion went back into the lead after Kyler Solomon tripled to center field, and Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 committed an error, each scoring one run.

Shaun Behrens singled to center field, which helped Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.

Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Jameson Barlow singled to right field, Parker Persing singled to the left side of the infield, and Wynter Fogleman singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Jackson Cady started the game for Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665. The starter surrendered 11 hits and seven runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Nate Bieber stepped on the mound first for Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion. The starter gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two.

Josh Lentowski, Shaun Behrens, Jacob Shedlauskas, Chase Eshelman, Carter Musewicz, Sam Dutkiewicz, and Jackson Cady each collected one hit for Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665. Shaun Behrens and Jackson Cady each drove in one run for Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665. Josh Lentowski stole two bases.

Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion tallied 12 hits in the game. Wynter Fogleman led Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion with three hits in four at bats. Kynton Fish, Nate Bieber, Kyler Solomon, Jameson Barlow, Parker Persing, Owen Babb, and Wynter Fogleman each drove in one run for Hughesville Post 35 Senior Legion.

Despite seeing their 8-run lead whittled down by the end, Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 still held off for an 8-7 victory on Thursday. Post 568 closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a single, a walk, a walk, and a single.

Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 were the first to get on the board in the first when Chase Eshelman singled, scoring one run.

Dickson City Sr. Legion Post 665 scored five runs on six hits in the top of the fifth inning. Josh Lentowski doubled, scoring two runs, Carter Musewicz singled, scoring two runs, and Chase Eshelman doubled, scoring one run.
