Mike Ross started training Kyokushu (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Wrestling, Boxing, Kickboxing, Self-Defense) martial arts in 2006 under Ryan Fiorenzi (Michigan's first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt). In 2007, Mike started training with his current coach/professor Tyrone Gooden (4th Degree Rigan Machado Black Belt), where he also competed in local brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions and

won numerous gold medals. In 2009, Mike entered the sport of MMA where he became the TXC 185lb Champion and trained heavily with his current instructor Tyrone Gooden. Currently, Mike Ross is the Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts instructor and is 1 of 9 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts under Professor Tyrone Gooden. In addition to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mike specializes in teaching Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Self-Defense to ensure his students have a wide range of skills to utilize in either a sport or real life situation.
