Good afternoon from Dexter Public Schools

After gathering information from our local health officials, other area school officials, as well as listening to parents and community leaders, we have decided to cancel school Wednesday, March 18th-Friday, April 3rd. (Return to school on the 6th of April at this time). During the closure, there will be no school activities and all school facilities will be closed to the public. We realize the hardship being out of school places on families. We are developing a plan to assist our families during this time. We will use all communication channels to alert families about how to access these resources in the coming days and weeks and provide frequent updates via the district website, texts, emails, and social media.

The safety of our students, staff and community is our highest priority. We will continue to evaluate the next steps for our school as information becomes available and provide information through our email notification system as well as through our website.

Thank you for your patience during this time,
C.A. Counts
