Dewey Beach Yoga was created in the summer of 2017, and provides yoga for all levels at 8am daily on the Dickinson Ave beach from Memorial day weekend thru Labor day. Our philosophy is spreading the joy of yoga and providing a feeling of empowerment!

Happy Summer Solstice🌞

There are days that pass like every other, and there are days that divide your life into before and after. June 21 is one of them. The Solstice marks the point where one chapter reaches completion and another begins, making it a powerful time to choose what you are ready to carry forward.

You may find yourself looking at your life with fresh eyes, suddenly recognising what has fulfilled its purpose, what deserves more of your energy, and what your heart has been asking for all along. Decisions become clearer, feelings become stronger, and the path ahead can feel easier to recognise.

For thousands of years, people gathered beneath this same sky to honour the turning of the seasons, speak their wishes aloud, and welcome the beginning of a new cycle. Their rituals were simple: stand upon the Earth, light a fire, make an offering, and trust that change had already begun.

The next six months begin here. Write one intention, speak it with conviction, and return to it often. By the December Solstice, you may look back and realise that this was the day everything started to change.

The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
