Pop-up yoga studio offering free 75 minute vinyasa class every Saturday, 10 am, Memorial Day to Labor Day The style of yoga we practice is vinyasa flow. Come!

Every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Highway One sponsors a free 75 minute yoga class held at one of our venues (usually ivy). The poses aren't complicated but they are challenging: you won't be putting your leg behind your head but you might be holding plank for a long time! We welcome all levels, just do what's appropriate for you. The class is first come, first served, there is no adv

ance sign-up. We have a limited number of yoga mats available to rent for $2 (cash only). You should bring water, a towel, and possibly a second, small hand towel, it can get pretty sweaty.

TIME CHANGE ALERT!! Tomorrow, practice will start at 9:30 am, instead of 10:05. (The Town has changed the meters to start at 9 so we don't have to worry about that). See you in the green room!

If you were at yoga this morning, I found out why there was a live band playing for the entire class. Jam starts early today with four bands so sound checks started early. For those of you who weren't there, you missed the chance to do savasana while Rage Against the Machine (Killing in the Name) was performed live in the background. You'll probably never get that chance again! To everyone who showed up (and stayed!), thanks for hanging in there with me, this is what happens when we practice over a live music venue or in a bar😆. (Remember when the tent pole smashed through the window at ivy?). Note to self: 4th of July weekend start yoga early!

Hey Yoga Peeps! We are on for Saturday, May 23rd at 10:05 am in the green room above the Bottle & Cork. It's our first one in almost a year so we'll be kicking it old school to get reacquainted (translation: I haven't taught in almost a year so I'm falling back on old sequences). Don't forget to pack your yoga clothes 😘

BEAUTIFUL YOGIS!! I miss you!

This nice weather (finally!) has me thinking about summer and our lil’ green room. Out in LA I was taking a class I affectionately refer to a “crazy yoga” because a lot of crazy s**t goes on in there (super loud music, people having full-on chats during class, phone use, and more!). None of that is my yoga vibe but I have to admit it was … fun? (Don’t get any ideas, we’re not going there). ANYWAY, one day at crazy yoga, I was watching someone get into a pose and the instructor leaned over and said, “you can definitely do that.” My first thought was “Yeah, no.” But my second thought was “Hell, yeah!” And just like that, I did it! After that I just kept trying/doing stuff. It made me wonder whether I should challenge you guys more, deviate a little from the usual. What do you think? It’s all just “party tricks” but party tricks can be fun!

TLDR: Do you want me to push you to try new stuff? It's ok to say no. No pressure, you have 5 ½ weeks to think about it
