🔥 Firebird Wrestling Individual State Qualifiers!
The East Region Tournament brought out grit, heart, and big-time performances from our Firebirds. We are proud to announce the athletes who punched their ticket to the NDHSAA Class A State Wrestling Tournament!
These wrestlers battled through deep brackets, earned podium finishes, and showed exactly what Firebird toughness looks like.
🥇 121 – Rylan Samuelson, Region Champion
Rylan dominated his bracket, earning a 1st-place finish with a pin and two strong decisions. He heads to state at 28-2 and wrestling at an elite level.
🥉 107 – Gregor Samuelson, 3rd Place
Gregor fought through a loaded bracket, bouncing back after a tight semifinal loss to secure two major decisions and a podium finish. State‑bound at 30-13.
🥉 133 – Caber Bryce‑Volk, 3rd Place
Caber battled back with two clutch pins in the wrestlebacks to claim 3rd. A gritty, determined performance from a senior leader.
🏅 127 – Wesley Fisk, 5th Place
Wesley secured a big pin in the 5th‑place match to lock in his state berth. A senior stepping up when it mattered most.
🏅 127 – Bryer Eversvik, 7th Place – State Qualifier
Bryer earned his way to the state tournament with a strong finish, including a decisive win in the 7th‑place match. A huge step forward in his season.
🏅 139 – Max Volk, 5th Place
Max fought through a tough bracket and sealed his state ticket with a tight 1‑0 decision in the placement match.
🏅 139 – Landon Zinke, 7th Place – State Qualifier
Landon battled back through the consolation rounds and secured his state berth with a 7th‑place finish. A resilient performance when it counted.
🏅 145 – Tucker Bennett, 5th Place
Tucker delivered two pins on the day—including a decisive one in the 5th‑place match—to earn his spot at state.
🏅 152 – Logan Charboneau, 4th Place
Logan fought through the backside with three straight wins, including two pins, to secure a 4th‑place finish and his trip to state.
🏅 172 – Coby Dronen Levitt, 5th Place
Coby battled through adversity including a late season elbow injury, and came back firing with a major decision in the placement match to qualify.
🏅 189 – Easton Encinas, 4th Place
Easton racked up three tech falls on the day and secured his state berth with a strong 4th‑place finish.
🏅 215 – Aiden Stiven, 5th Place
Aiden delivered four pins, including a 17‑second fall in the 5th‑place match, to punch his ticket to the big stage.
