Giovanni second match in Detroit. Finished with north south choke! Yes, we understand his competition was on the smaller side, it allowed him to work his technique, and he still gains experience & knowledge from every match. This girl probably just got moved up or was pushing herself in a higher bracket. Either way she showed up and she fought ! That’s what it’s about ! We appreciate every match and respect every single competitor, up next my very first NAGA @ MYRTLE BEACH💪🏼

Leonidasss with his first match of the morning, we almost thought he wasn’t going to have this match but the kid came back ready to go! Such a great, fun match. We love getting new competitors! Leonidas got the win with a rear naked choke 💪🏼

Giooooo with his first match of the morning. He went in fierce & got himself a nice sub in Detroit Michigan Grappling Industries. I stop recording once a kid gets injured out of respect. He was ok, stood tall, shook hands💪🏼

Columbus Grappling Industries this last weekend Leonidas came home with double gold. This was his second match one of 2 brothers he was up against, Leonidas was up in points and the other kid got DQ for sc******ng and so did his brother that you will see in the next match. Match stopped or not leonidas was up in points and that’s a win. We look forward to going against these brothers in the future, they were great & fierce plus we love a good competition! At the end of the day these are kids and they are learning so we show grace no matter what. Giovanni got double gold last weekend alongside his brother. This was his first match. This kid was definitely smaller but Giovanni said he was STRONG and was not an easy match.

Today we had to change it up, today was our first solo son and mom comp to Detroit , Dad and little brother had to stay back at the hotel after little brother ended up not feeling well. We could have just went back home 3 1/2 hours but Giovanni was already in too deep. With lots of preparation put in and little bro having everything he needed we decided to go fight. Life will throw you curve balls but it’s how you deal with them that matters. Giovanni bracket was stacked with GREAT competition. It came down to him and this fierce competitor for both brackets. He fell short in no Gi we learned what to do and not to do and he subbed him in 30 seconds for his championship match for gold. Outstanding job, he represented himself, his brother , and his team Functions Of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu well today.

Giovanni was told how impressive his jiu-jitsu was today and we have Bays Chico to thank for getting Giovanni where he is today. We’re slowly improving day by day. This isn’t a race for us but a lifestyle. Congratulations Giovanni on your wins today, you fought great 💪🏼
