The Detroit Golf Club is one of America’s great golf and country clubs. The beautifully wooded two hundred and nineteen acres, rambling Old-English style clubhouse and two 18-hole golf courses are a standing tribute to the prominent group of forward thinking Detroiters who formed the Club over one hundred years ago, in 1899. gends. The tradition and heritage that was established in those years has been preserved through a diversified membership that continues to carry forward those venerable traditions. As Detroit Golf Club has grown over the years, developing from a club devoted exclusively to golf to a full-service country club, a spirit of family togetherness has evolved. Much of the family activity is centered around the spacious swimming pool, but golf, tennis and clubhouse affairs still bring many families together. Detroit Golf Club is a gem with many beautiful facets and it can never be duplicated. For golf, for socializing, for family, for almost everything... you are almost sure to find something to your liking at the Detroit Golf Club.

As winter approaches, the team has been working tirelessly to advance as much Master Plan progress as possible before Thanksgiving.

It has been an intense stretch, with our Director of Agronomy, Sam, and his team putting in long days and seven-day workweeks to maintain momentum and keep the project on schedule. Their commitment and effort during this final push are greatly appreciated as we prepare the course for the winter months.

We’ve had a busy few weeks at DGC!

✅ All fairways are now seeded (ahead of our Sept. 15 deadline!)
✅ Greens 1–9, 10, 11, 13 & 18 are already sodded — with the rest on track to finish by next week, meeting our Oct. 1 goal.

💧 Irrigation has been installed in the chipping & short game areas, with more improvements coming to the driving range in the weeks ahead.
