The goalies that make it to the pro level arnt just lucky. They work there a@$ off everyday to get better in every aspect of there game. They also dominate at there level.

Raise your Attitude and the dominos will start to fall. After raising your attitude your game will rise and as your game rises your overall level of play at will be come higher. Raising your game will lead to more consistant performances leading to getting noticed more offten.

There is not always huge differences between goalies who make it to the pro level and goalies that don’t. The 3 biggest areas that the goalies who make it excel at are: Skating, Rebound Control and the Consistency of their game. If you don’t excel at all 3 of these make a plan to improve these areas.

The most import part about battling through screens is finding the puck. It’s hard work to bob, weave, low stance, high stance, and moving around to find the puck, but as goalies we cannot accept being screened. We have to battle to fine the puck. If a screener is to close to you give them a little push to creat more space for you to make a saves.

The hockey season can become long. Make sure after it’s done you take a break but you can still work on becoming a better goalie and athlete doing other sports. Here of some examples of what other sports can help you with conditioning, hand eye and more.

Every Penalty Kill is a challenge, act like it! Raise your compete level, have laser focus on the puck, check players hands for potential plays and one time threats and cover everything!
