AHOY! Lake Park Marina is open for boating and sailing! Rent a paddle boat and cruise around beautiful Lake Opeka. We have strict health and safety guidelines in place. Life jackets and paddle boats are sanitized while you watch. Of course, just 2 people per boat, following CDC and IDPH recommendations. 1015 Howard Avenue, in Des Plaines. 847-391-5730. For the safety of our patrons and pets, Lake Opeka is being temporarily closed due to a Blue-Green Algae outbreak.

We have closed the Lake Park Marina for all boating operations which includes paddle boat and kayak rentals, Sailing Club, fishing boat launches etc. until further notice.

Fishing is also discouraged and there will be no bait available for sale in the clubhouse during the lake closure.

The Izaak Walton Fishing Derby, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday at Fall Fest has been cancelled.

Please do not allow your pet to enter or drink from the lake under any circumstances.

The lake will remain closed pending the results of water testing.
