The TBA Classic/Muay Thai Expo World Championships started in 2007 (formerly known as the Muay Thai Classic or MTC) and has grown to be the largest amateur Muay Thai tournament in North America drawing in over 1000 fighters. Focusing on MUAY THAI, not "kickboxing", the MTWE uses certified, trained Muay Thai officials that strive to use Muay Thai scoring. Our goal is to aid in the growth of Muay Thai in the states. 🏆 TBA Muay Thai World Expo Junior Boys Flyweight Class C Champion 🏆

👊 Amaré 👊

Man, what a performance from Amaré.

He fought hard from the opening bell, kept the pressure on, and proved once again that he belongs in that ring.

Big respect to his opponent and his team. Every matchup at this tournament was a challenge, and this one was no different.

What I appreciate most about Amaré, though, has very little to do with fighting.

He’s a leader around the academy. He’s someone the younger kids look up to, and he’s the same person at school and in every other area of life.

Talented, humble, and hardworking.

He’s the kind of young man every coach hopes to have in their program.

Really proud of him.

🏆 TBA Muay Thai World Expo Junior Girls Flyweight Class C Champion 🏆

đź‘Š Two-Piece Elise đź‘Š

What a battle.

Huge props to our opponent and her team. We thought the fight might be over after the eight count in round one, but she came back firing and made this a phenomenal matchup.

As for Elise, she did exactly what we asked her to do. She trusted her boxing, listened in the corner, and showcased exactly what that Waffle House style is all about.

But here’s the coolest part.

Over the last year, we’ve watched her grow into so much more than a competitor.

She’s become a role model, a leader, and someone the younger kids genuinely love being around.

Around here, she’s Coach Chicken.

That might be my favorite title she has.

I’m incredibly proud of the athlete she’s becoming, but I’m even more proud of the person she’s becoming.

That’s what we’re really building here.
