We're thrilled to announce the incredible achievements of our dedicated student, Stephen Downer! 🌟 Steve has been with us since day one, putting in the hard work both on the mats and in the ring/cage. Today, he received two well-deserved stripes on his blue belt, a testament to his perseverance and dedication to his craft.

Steve isn't just an amazing athlete; he's also a valuable asset around the gym, always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge with teammates. His passion for jiu-jitsu and other fighting disciplines shines through in everything he does.

Big weekend ahead for our fight family! We’re all eyes on Bryton as he heads to Cedar Rapids to defend his title at the Iowa Golden Gloves 2024. It’s happening at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, March 29th-30th.

Bryton has been the epitome of hard work and dedication, representing West Side Martial Arts & Boxing - home of the West Side Hooligans - at the 147 lbs. championship. Let’s show our brother massive support as he aims to bring the title home once again.

What a day it’s been at the white belt only tournament in Iowa City! Hung, Sam, and Ethan, our three new faces at West Side Martial Arts and Boxing, dove headfirst into competition, showing incredible effort and spirit. No hardware to bring home this time, but as their coach, I couldn’t be prouder of their performance.

With each match, win or lose, these young warriors demonstrated they have the heart and the hustle that define true martial artists. They left everything on the mat today, and they should all walk tall knowing they gave it their all.

A huge shout-out to Rhino for his invaluable support and coaching alongside me today. Your dedication to our team doesn’t go unnoticed.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back at the gym on Monday, ready to hit the ground running and prep for our next tournament. Today was just the beginning. The journey continues, and it’s all about the grind from here.
