Training first jump skydivers in Tandem and Solo skydiving every since! Air Capital Drop Zone first opened on Rose Hill Cook Field located east of Derby Ks in 2001. The DZ operates one Cessna 182. We have an active family of skydivers who jump as often as the Kansas weather will allow! We offer first jump training either by Tandem or Instructor Assisted Deployment. Our staff all hold USPA instructional ratings.

We never know what tomorrow will bring. I've had the unenviable task of telling many many people over the years that they couldn't skydive with us for age related and general physical issues. If skydiving is something that you'd like to do, let's make it happen! You do not want to hear at some point "You should have done it 10 years ago."

Fun pictures from the 250 attempt at Skydive Chicago over the last week. 250 would be an Illinois State Record as the world record had once been accomplished in that state at 200 or 230. You can see the complexity of building such a formation through these photos. 10 or 11 airplanes each with 20 to 25 skydivers on oxygen in the airplane and exit altitude of 19,000'. The complexity doesn't end with the formation, they then have to all deploy parachutes and fly to landing. They have to start break off waives at 7,000', then each of those waives will further separate at a lower altitude and assigned landing areas.

I'll give that skydiving is absolutely not at all logical! But if we eliminated everything from our lives that was less than absolutely logical, we'd pretty much be sitting on the couch waiting to die.
