Great way to support the wonderful new Canal Dock Boathouse, which is bringing rowing to the New Haven community, in the Great Give week. Fantastic that New Haven will benefit from this

Ok folks, there is still time to brew that coffee at home and save the money from those lattes and donate it during the next week.

Great to get the 8 out this morning and see the progress at Canal Dock

Not a bad morning for a row on New Haven Harbor, or for a fresh look at the Canal Dock Boathouse.

Great day at the 16th Annual Wharton Sprints yesterday - thank you to everyone who came out! Special thanks to Wharton Crew for hosting; Charles Hsu for coxing; and all of the partners & fans who travelled a long way to support us. ProTips for next year: 1) bring sunscreen 2) YGC hats are very valuable in the swag-swap! Enjoy your Sundays, see you back at the ergs on Tuesday

Hey Crew! Check out this video of Australian Sculler Dan Noonan. This is a great example of what I was talking about at practice on Thursday - solid connection at the catch. You see the moment he latches on to the water & starts moving the boat forward. This is what we want to try to re-create on the erg... jumping off the catch and then finishing smoothly.

ps. There is no "perfect" stroke but this demonstrates great connection :)

Hey Guys! Last week of shopping period. After Thursday, only dues-paying grad/professional students will be permitted to join practices. So come out tonight (7:00 PM in the YWC Tanks, basement of Payne Whitney) for an erg practice and to see what we're all about! We look forward to seeing you there!

08/23/2016

Hey New Yalies (and returners who just found out about us)!

We're really happy to see we've been getting a lot of traffic in the past few weeks. The captains are meeting this week to finalize plans for our first practice and we will post again after that meeting.

In the meantime, if you have rowed or coxed, feel free to send us a quick message on Facebook so we can get an idea for our "experienced" numbers.

If you've never rowed before, fear not! Newbies are very welcome to join!!
